In 1978 we were awarded the contract to produce the tooling,
production jigging and die castings to supply Ericsson
for the production of a new emergency telephone design to eliminate
the need for imports from Europe. KJ Precision Engineering supplied
these products to Erricsson until the rights to the product were
purchased by KJ Precision Engineering in 1984 to become the producer
and supplier of the emergency phone range. Approximately 40,000
units throughout the world are in use today in Road/Rail applications
along with other areas such as Police, Fire Brigade, mining and
power stations. The quality of these products has seen them being
used exclusively by many authorities since their inception in 1978.
Some of the original units can still be seen on highways today.
